INNOCENCE

The Innocence series is a study of simplicity, texture, and the silent power of repetition. Through a minimalist approach, I seek to shift the visual experience from pure observation to tactility, transforming the flat canvas into a textured field of emotion.
A central element of the series is thread — sometimes cotton, other times natural nettle fibers — carefully placed by hand, fiber by fiber. This almost meditative process creates a rhythmic linearity that interacts with the abstract color fields, revealing the relationship between materiality, time, and movement.
The subtle variations of light and shadow across the woven surface continuously alter the perception of the work, offering a different experience depending on the viewer’s perspective. The series functions as a space of stillness and introspection, where repetition becomes an act of care and materiality acquires an almost poetic dimension.
